Personal
I have a book in front of me with this title: "Life is short, live it to the fullest." The book itself must be read with the eyes of discernment wide open, but that is another story. What I want to tell you is about the title itself. The expression in this title is also a well-known maxim.
The idea of the maxim is clear. But if we analyze it in more detail, and if we look at it with spiritual eyes, then it reveals deep truths:
"Life is short" - life is short, compared to what? I would say compared to eternity. If we compare it to anything else, this "everything else" is relative. Only eternity is absolute. But what does this "live it to the fullest" mean? What is this "fullest"? What is the FULL of life, a FULL of life that never runs out?
